If you need help installing or connecting to any of our servers ask in the thread here or for live help if one of us is on, the #minecraft text channel on our Discord server .
You must have the JAVA Edition of Minecraft. The Windows 10 Edition does not work with mods! https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/get-minecraft/

    Current modpack: FTB Revelation
Revelation is not a themed pack nor a focused pack, it’s a pack designed to cater to a large amount of players, whether you like tech mods, magic mods, exploration, building or all of those then this pack is for you. With a Forge Mod Loader count of well over 200, this pack has most everything a player is looking for with performance and stability being the main focus of design and mod choice. Minimal changes have been made to the mods so you experience each mod the way the developers intended. Also this proves very helpful when learning a new mod using a Wiki.

    Current modpack version: 3.2.1-1.12.2

    Modpack download URL: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/ftb-revelation/download/2818181

    Server hostname: mcftb.atgclan.net

    How to install modded minecraft

A 64-bit java runtime engine is required:
    https://javadl.oracle.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=242060_3d5a2bb8f8d4428bbe94aed7ec7ae784
    or
    OpenJDK: https://openjdk.java.net/install/

    MultiMC

The easiest way to run a modded Minecraft client is to use a Minecraft launcher. One of the most popular Minecraft launchers is MultiMC:
    https://multimc.org/
Once MultiMC is installed, it is recommended to set the java maximum memory allocation to 4GB at a minimum in MultiMC settings. 8GB or more is preferred, especially when using high resolution resource packs.

The main location for the most popular Minecraft modpacks is CurseForge:
    https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks
Once the desired modpack page on curseforge has been loaded, go to the files section and download the latest version of the modpack in zip format.
Inside of MultiMC, click the Add Instance button and import the download modpack zip.

    Optional components
Texture packs – Soartex texturepack Invictus_Modded_Universal.zip for modded minecraft 1.12.2
    http://dl.soartex.net/7m1qb
The Texture pack can be ran with most graphics cards although you may need to tweak for fps. First time loading of this pack into the game via options resource packs may take 5+ minutes, there is no status bar.
To install a downloaded texture pack, select the Minecraft instance in MultiMC and select instance folder. In the minecraft folder inside the instance, create a folder called resourcepacks if it does not already exist. Place the downloaded texture pack zip into the resourcepacks folder.
    For more information, visit https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Tutorials/Loading_a_resource_pack

You will need a good video card to venture past this point at least a Nvidia1050/Radeon equivalent or better!
    Optifine – Optifine Shader
    http://optifine.net/adloadx?f=OptiFine_1.12.2_HD_U_F5.jar&x=2edf
The Optifine Shader pack adds additional light and shadow rendering to Minecraft. To install, place the optifine jar file in the instance folder under Minecraft\mods\. To get the most out of optifine, a shaderpack will also need to be downloaded:
    https://sonicether.com/shaders/download/renewed-v1-0-1/
The shaderpack should be placed in the instance folder under minecraft\shaderpacks.

I updated the link to go directly to the download. Resource packs and optifine are completely optional and only improve the appearance of the game. Optine will require a pretty hefty GPU so if you do not have one, it is best to just play without it.

I have no idea how to claim my base. I’m guessing through the team menu but I can’t remember how to open it.

You press E to open your inventory. On the upper left corner there’s a red green and blue icon of people to create a team. once your team is crated, you go back into your inventory and click on the icon next to the create team button, it looks like a map. that button allows you to claim chunks
